Murph Watkins ft. Creative Gold - Quis Amor (What’s Love?)

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Hero Beats
Album:
72-10

For those unfamiliar, the aptly-named ‘97 Bulls, made up of emcees Murph Watkins and Creative Gold, do indeed have roots in the Windy City (Watkins hails from Chicago). Today, the duo have taken their Bulls fandom to a whole new level, sharing the title of their forthcoming mixtape, 72-10, the final record of the historic ‘95-‘96 Bulls squad. Hoping to achieve their own record in ’13, the twosome follow-up their first win, Midwest Relations, with Quis Amor (What’s Love), arguably another notch in the win column. Producer Hero Beats’ smooth boardwork, featuring a sped-up vocal sample splashed atop the soulful beat, sets the stage for the alley-oop jam. Gold has a flow similar to Dennis Rodman, powerful and aggressive, which serves as a nice compliment to Watkins’ more fluid, Jordan-eque flow. Is Quis Amor a slam dunk or should the duo change their name to the ‘12 Bobcats? Let us know below and keep an eye out for 72-10, which will be released later this year.
