Murphy Lee ft. Shy Carter - Ghetto Love

Tired of watching his sophomore album, most recently titled U C Me, collect dust on Universal Motown‘s shelves, Murphy Lee has negotiated the ideal release from his contract: though still signed as a member of the St. Lunatics, Murph is free to look for solo distribution elsewhere.  Taking a page from his Derty Ent boss’ book, Lee’s looking to recapture the public’s attention with a Midwestern-style ladies’ jam—on his new single, he spits game to a woman who fits all his specifications, offering her some of that good Ghetto LoveShy Carter adds to the track’s pop appeal, delivering a Jaheim-style hook over Trizzil‘s electric-guitar accompaniment (a la Ride Wit Me and Over and Over).  Though Ghetto Love may not quite measure up to Nelly‘s hits, the single’s female appeal should earn it plenty of spins, helping Murph net new distribution (and a solid release date) for his long-awaited sophomore set.
