MURS - CREAM (Christmas Rules Everything Around Me)

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Curtiss King
Album:
None (Promo Single)

This might make me sound like the Grinch but, by the time December 25th rolls around, I’m typically sick and tired of Christmas songs. (I mean, they’ve been in rotation since before Thanksgiving.) If more seasonal tunes were like this celebratory cut from underground mainstay MURS, however, I wouldn’t mind hearing ‘em year-round. On CREAM (Christmas Rules Everything Around Me), DJBooth regular and emcee/producer Curtiss King shines brighter than Rudolph’s nose behind the boards, turning Carol of the Bells into a brisk West Coast banger. In a charismatic, strident flow, MURS celebrates some of the highlights of Christmas day, including presents, naps and basketball. This record is strictly for Christmas kicks and is not attached to anything larger. Season’s greetings!
