Earlier this month, when singer Nikki Grier introduced herself to our pages with the reader-approved La La La, I remarked on the large number of artists who had previously used that title on Booth-featured cuts. (Five; more, if you count La Las). Little did I know that just a few short weeks later I’d be presenting number seven. The latest single and first DJBooth feature from UK producer Naughty Boy, this La La La is a brisk, body-moving club ballad. The headliner and co-producer Komi‘s driving breakbeat and ringing keyboard chords back soul singer Sam Smith‘s pained lyrical depiction of a relationship on the rocks. Complete with a quirky, sampled vocal hook, this is just one of many fresh cuts slated for inclusion on Naughty Boy’s next album, Hotel Cabana. The set has yet to receive a release date, but fans can keep their browsers locked for further details and song releases as they emerge.
