Novel - I Know Now

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
No I.D.
Album:
Unreleased

The last time we heard from the enigmatically talented Novel he was consuming a steady diet of Red Wine & Ambien. Well, apparently the man’s chased all that pinot noir with a few strong coffees because Novel is wide awake for the release of I Know Now. Making its world premiere right here on The DJBooth, I Know Now grabs legendary producer No I.D. for the production duties and the Chi-Town beatsmith responds with a heavily R&B-influenced and supremely relaxed beat. For his part Novel delves into the complexities of relationships, when the truth behind even the seemingly purest love often isn’t revealed until it’s too late: “I thought everything was all right / yesterday we were just fine / baby we’re losing our minds / I know now.” Novel’s still deciding if I Know Now will make the final cut of his upcoming album, Under Water, so while we’re waiting for him to make up his mind why not cop the aforementioned Red Wine & Ambien, available for free stream and download right here.
