Pharrell Williams - Happy

Producer:
Pharrell Williams
Album:

If you have children, or know someone who does, there’s a chance you might find yourself heading to the theater this summer to see Despicable Me 2, the latest animated opus from French directors Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud. Those of y’all who aren’t terribly into cartoons will be Happy to hear that the flick does contain a little something for adult viewers—namely, new music from a number of the hottest artists on today’s airwaves. One of Pharrell Williams’ contributions to the soundtrack, this freshly-minted single is an upbeat soul number with a positive message. Over his own high-energy boardwork, the Neptunes member encourages listeners to do whatever it is that puts a smile on their face, delivering his catchy verses and chorus in an ear-pleasing falsetto. Featuring this cut along with two more Pharrell joints and a Cee-Lo Green cut entitled Scream, the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack LP is set to drop June 18, in anticipation of the movie’s theatrical release July 3.
