On top of its strip clubs, hot wings, and Southern hospitality Atlanta has become seemingly well-known for the way in which its residents speak. Take for instance the title of Atlanta native Pill‘s newest record, Aint Stettin Yall. A few of you may be taken aback by the song’s title so I’ll go ahead and break it down. Aint Stettin Yall is basically the equivalent of saying, “I’m not worried about you all.” Got it? Great. On Stettin Pill calls out the fakes and the phonies over the boardwork of Basement Beatz. While the emcee swiftly gets down to the lyrical nitty gritty on Aint Stettin Yall, the production team’s soulful, sample-driven melody makes for quite a smooth listen. Lookout for Aint Stettin Yall on Pill’s forthcoming mixtape Over The Counter Drugs, set for release before the end of summer.
