Pugs Atomz ft. StaHHr & Jabee - Shootem Down

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
DJ Vadim
Album:
Enjoy

Has it really been 10 months and 15 days since Chi-town fave Pugs Atomz stepped into the Booth with a solo feature? As you may have surmised from that oddly specific figure, the answer is “Yes.” Not, that I can blame the man—he’s only been touring Europe, the US and Brazil with The Electric in the meantime. Today, the freestyle series alum makes his triumphant return with the Booth-exclusive world premiere of album leak Shootem Down. Despite what the title might lead you to believe, there’s no aggression on display here; on the contrary, it’s all about positive energy. DJ Vadim handles production, flipping an unknown rendition of UK bluesman Kevin Coyne’s Saviour into a shuffling backdrop for the headliner’s characteristically suave, self-assured lyrical stylings. After Pugs has updated listeners on his hustle, Georgia femcee StaHHr showcases her engaging delivery and prodigious swag on the middle, and Oklahoma City repper Jabee brings it home with a tightly-wound closing 16. Need more Pugs Atomz in your life? You’ll be able to Enjoy some more fresh tunes August 30, when Atomz’ latest solo album arrives inn stores and online.
