Rome Fortune‘s first feature may be titled “Grind,” but don’t think for a second that the ATLien is all work and no play. Rather, as the record and its accompanying visuals demonstrate, he prefers to strike a balance between business and pleasure. Backed by Booth-approved duo FKi‘s quirky, sample-laced electronic grooves, Fortune sketches out his vision of the good life: “Ain’t nothin’ cooler than waking up with a net worth bigger than the day before, half-naked chick wrapped around you. You can’t help but think… why go back?” Godwin‘s artful video enhances the record’s breezy, sensual vibe.
