Sean Brown ft. Mark Battles - King No Castles

Posted 2 years ago
Eric Vargas

Sean Brown may not reside in the palace of Versailles, but don’t get it twisted; the Los Angeles rhymesayer is hip-hop royalty. As he puts it on his latest promotional single, “I’m a King with No Castles.” Eric Vargas mans the mixing boards on this imperious banger, backing the headliner’s bold bars with clattering drums and pensive keyboard chords. Mark Battles, a DJBooth newcomer, contributes a self-assured middle 16, and DJ Medek assists behind the wheels of steel. Castles isn’t attached to a larger set, but fans are encouraged to check out Sean’s previous promo cut, early May’s Hop the Fence.
