Confessions of a Shopaholic Soundtrack

One of the golden rules of pop music is that sentimentality sells – starry-eyed odes to true love at first sight have dominated the airwaves since, well, the invention of radio.  In reality, of course, love isn’t usually that simple. On a new record, Bajan songstress Shontelle acknowledges that, though there is always the temptation to walk away from a relationship when things get tough, she and her man are Stuck with Each Other, and must do their best to weather the storm together.  Luckily, her male counterpart, played here by Akon, agrees that their love is too precious to abandon (unlike Jeremy Thurber in I Love You But, also featured today).  Backed by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins’ ringing guitar chords, this record is sure to be a hit with the young, lovelorn demographic.  Not included on the recently-released Shontelligence, Stuck with Each Other is set to appear on the Confessions of a Shopaholic soundtrack, and the just-shot music video should premiere soon.
