An up-and-coming singer/songwriter hailing from the Bay Area, Sid Sriram introduces his left-of-center R&B style to the DJBooth with a freshly-minted single, released as part of the Converse Rubber Tracks series. On plaintive ballad Anymore, the artist does double-duty on the mic and behind the mixing boards, crafting an atmospheric, rock-infused instrumental reminiscent of an early Coldplay cut to back verses which find him wrestling with painful memories of an old flame. Feeling it? Then stay tuned: while Anymore isn’t part of a larger project, Sid Sriram is preparing to drop his latest collection of original material, the West Coast Nightfall EP, on March 27.
