UPDATE: Snoop Dogg has released the new video for No Guns Allowed. Mobile users can scroll down.

It’s a strange world we’re living in where Calvin Broadus, a man who made his name and his fortune in the bullet-riddled world of gangsta rap, comes out as an high-profile advocate against firearms. Whether it was the wisdom of age or the realization that he was the reincarnation of Bob Marley that caused the shift in his perspective, new single No Guns Allowed showcases a very different Snoop than we previously knew. Over a slow-rolling reggae beat by Diplo (as Major Lazer) and Ariel Rechtshaid, the artist laments not only the countless lives stolen by gun violence, but the value system that causes us to prize money over human lives. Drake reminisces about a fallen homie on verse two, and Snoop’s daughter, Cori B., provides additional vocal assistance. Fans will be able to find this stirring track, previous single Here Comes the King and much more on Reincarnation, set to hit record stores and online retailers April 23, via RCA Records.
