Update: Sonny’s self-directed visuals for his new single, Neon Hooligans, have been added.

Summertime means long nights that become days and adventures with your best friends. And there’s no better period of music to accompany those warmer vibes than 80’s inspired grooves. The former front man of The Dean’s List, Sonny Shotz, just so happens to have you covered. With retro production from Albert Ryan and a disco hook from UK singer Mac The Hand, Neon Hooligans is more than just a groovy single. The record is supposed to inspire all of the girls in America to never lose focus of their goals, even during the distracting days of summer. Seriously. Sonny’s latest single will find a home on the appropriately titled new album, American Summer, due out May 26. In the meantime, we encourage you to dive into his last project, Danel Exodus: Truths of Creation, which is available for stream and download at The DJBooth.
