Soulslicers ft. N.B.S. & Jaysaun - Slice of Life

When a movie or novel is described as a “Slice of Life,” that’s usually code for “a story where nothing much happens.” Not so with the Soulslicers’ latest effort. Making its world premiere on our pages, the title track off the Swiss beat crew’s next street album is action-packed from start to finish. Here, the headliners’ gritty piano loops and boom-bap percussion set the stage for aggressive bars from Boston crew N.B.S. (Flash and V Knuckles), as well as an equally bruising 16 from Beantown neighbor Jaysaun. Slice of Life is just one of many hard-hitting cuts slated for inclusion on the Soulslicers’ mixtape of the same name, which will hit the Booth for free streaming and download next Wednesday, the 12th. A seperate version of the set will be available for purchase from online retailers. While you’re waiting, why not check out the crew’s remix of Tech N9ne‘s Blur, available as part of a Booth-exclusive Re-Produced EP?
