SoulSwuite (UptownSwuite & SoulChef) - Aotearoa Dedicated

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
SoulChef
Album:
Memoirs From Under the Long White Cloud

UPDATE: “Aotearoa Dedicated” is no longer available to stream.

Uptown Swuite, a Vacaville, Cali rhymesayer introduced to our pages as one-third of The Seed, has linked up with beatsmith SoulChef to form newly-launched crew SoulSwuite. Making its world premiere right here on our front page, the latest single off the duo’s collaborative debut is Dedicated to SoulChef’s home country, Aotearoa. (For non-Kiwis, that’s the native Māori people’s name for New Zealand.) Over his partner’s immersive, fusion-jazz flavored sample work, Swuite reflects on his recent travels through the island nation in poetically laid-back verses. Aotearoa Dedicated is part of forthcoming full-length Memoirs From Under the Long White Cloud, which has yet to receive a solid drop date. We in The DJBooth will keep you supplied with fresh records and release details as they emerge.
