SPZRKT - Love & Pain (SPZRKT Remix)

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Sango Beats and 808xElite
Album:
Lucid Dream

An alt-R&B buzzmaker hailing from Warner Robins, Georgia, SPZRKT (I think that’s pronounced “Spacerocket.”) introduces himself to our pages with a cover of a joint by an established DJBooth fave. Moody ballad Love & Pain, featured in July as the final single off JMSN‘s debut set, receives a shot of adrenaline courtesy of the 23-year-old singer/songwriter and producer, who switches the original’s artist-produced beat out for a hip hop-informed arrangement of his own. Trap percussion, booming synth-bass and distorted samples float through the mix as SPZRKT soulfully reinterprets the cut’s heartbroken lyrics. Click here to cop the artist’s Lucid Dream LP, released digitally on Monday, November 25. You can find the original on JMSN’s †Priscilla† LP, available for streaming and purchase in the Booth.
