It’s undeniable. Some songs are just “cooler than Freddie Jackson sippin’ a milkshake in a snow storm,” and Hankuri, the latest release from the LoEGz, is definitely one of them. With Shane Eli handling the production, three members of the Austin, TX collective League of Extraordinary Gz take turns going in on the track. With a funky and live instrumentation-driven beat, which alone makes you start nodding your head and shaking your shoulders, Lowkey, Tuk-da-Gat and S. Dot’s uptempo rhymes make you go full Bernie Lomax as you lose all control. If you like what you hear from The League and Shane Eli on Hankuri, we’re happy to share the news that they’re teaming up for The Plug EP, which will be hosted by the DJBooth and dropping December 12.
