On the Verge Mixtape

When none other than DJ Premier selects your project as one of his top 25 releases of the year, you can consider yourself an ambassador of real hip-hop. Fresh off receiving the Northeastern icon’s imprimatur for last year’s The Panic Button LP, The Regiment return to our pages with new single That’s Hip-Hop, which finds OSI and IseQold offering their definition of the genre over a scorching, organ-led beat by Tokyo Cigar. The HiPNOTT signees’ J-Love-mixed/hosted On the Verge LP has yet to receive a drop date—stay tuned for further details! In the meantime, those who haven’t already can still cop Panic Button on iTunes.
