Album:

It’s easy to get lost in the comfort of our current situation, thus leading to the roots of greed. Instead, the legendary Roots are here with Raheem DeVaughn to take it back a notch so we can all count our blessings. On their latest single, Tomorrow, the Grammy Award-winning band provide production of just the right proportions not to drown out Raheem’s prayer of gratitude and wish for us all to be more patient. Whether it’s a job promotion, getting your kid into a new private school, or whatever it is that you’re going after in life right now, maybe it’s time to look out for someone else in a position not as favorable as yours and be his or her angel? The song takes a turn for the worse at the end with a disturbing crash of piano chords, which may very well mark the climax of the next concept album from The Roots, ...and then you shoot your cousin, due out May 19. We’ll just have to wait and see how it all fits together.
