THURZ - High Castle

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Christian Rich
Album:
None (Promo Single)

Though THURZ did get together with our own Nathan S. for a 3 Shots… interview earlier this year, he hasn’t blessed our pages with a fresh audio feature since dropping Punky Brewster back in October. Today, the SoCal repper and longtime DJBooth fave returns to kick off his 2014 with new promo single High Castle. Here, a dreamy synth beat by fraternal duo Christian Rich sets the mood as the U-N-I alumnus expresses his deep and abiding passion for this hip-hop ish. A sampled snippet from an unknown female vocalist, flipped in lieu of a chorus, adds to the joint’s ethereal feel. This loosie is slated to appear on the Red Bull Sound Select/Record Store Day Split 7”, which will be available at participating Record Store Day retailers on April 19. Keep it locked for the latest on THURZ’s long-awaited Blood on the Canvas LP, which still lacks a drop date.
