It’s a New Day, Booth readers, so put your feet to the ground and your hands to the sky. Still not awake enough to play Follow the Leader? Well, pour yourself a cup of strong coffee and give TOPE‘s debut feature a listen; I guarantee you’ll come away feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Making its world premiere right here on our front page, this freshly-minted remix finds the Portland rhymesayer joined on the mic by two underground mainstays. In addition to TOPE’s own positive-minded ruminations on life, art and the hustle, delivered over his and Chris Hanson‘s airy synth-sample production, this version of the record packs uplifting guest 16s by Scarub of Living Legends and Emerald City phenom Luck One. This remix isn’t part of a larger project, but fans can cop the original as part of TOPE’s Trouble Man EP, out via iTunes as of August 9.
