Travie McCoy ft. Jason Mraz - Rough Water

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Benny Blanco
Album:
None (Promo Single)

It’s been a hot minute since last we featured Travie McCoy on the solo tip; Billionaire (Remix) hit our front page way back in July of 2010. Three years and change later, the Gym Class Heroes frontman returns to pick up where he left off with a new promo single. Right out the gate, Rough Waters sounds like a crossover hit. Benny Blanco‘s bouncy pop-rock production backs McCoy as he addresses a girl for whom he’d lay down his life, drawing a (slightly morbid) analogy between their love and the relationship at the center of James Cameron’s Titanic. Pop phenom Jason Mraz lends his vocals to the record’s radio-ready hook. Is Waters destined to propel Travie back to the top of the charts? Debate away—and, of course, keep it locked for the latest from the Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen signee.
