Tricky - Nothing’s Changed

Producer:

Album:
False Idols

Eight albums and nearly twenty years since his seminal 1995 debut, Maxinquaye, English trip-hop pioneer Tricky is going back to square one. In regard to his recently-announced 10th studio album, the artist stated, “I don’t care whether people like it. I’m doing what I want to do, which is what I did with my first record. That’s what made me who I was in the beginning. If people don’t like it, it don’t matter to me because I’m back where I was.” The first song release off the project, Nothing’s Changed, underlines that sentiment. Joining Tricky over his atmospheric, string laced groove, vocalist Francesca Belmonte murmurs lyrics partially borrowed from 1997 single Makes Me Wanna Die. Featuring guest appearances from Nneka, Peter Silberman (of The Antlers) and Fifi Rong, False Idols is scheduled for release May 28, via False Idols/!K7 Records.
