There’s no shortage of hip-hop records about getting wasted at the local spot, but few artists are willing to tackle the nasty aftermath of binge drinking. Seeing a niche that needs filling, YMCMB signee Tyga‘s crafted a club banger best enjoyed while hunched over in a bathroom stall. OK, OK—while I doubt the Cali repper’s going to finish those “hundred bottles” he’s got on ice without paying a visit to the porcelain god, Throw It Up isn’t about actually throwing up. Instead, this dancefloor-ready single finds the artist putting on for his crew and his city as he enjoys a boozy night on the town. DJ Mustard mans the boards, backing his Rack City collaborator’s stunting with eerie bell arpeggios and an offbeat synth-bassline. This joint is tentatively slated to appear on Tyga’s next full-length, The Gold Album. Keep it locked for further details on the set, which is currently unscheduled.
