Willie The Kid ft. Jon Connor - Marina

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
VDon
Album:
Aquamarine

It’s been almost a year since we last heard a new headlining track from Willie the Kid, but that doesn’t mean the Michigan emcee has been wasting his time. Instead, Willie’s clearly been traveling the seven seas to record new single Marina. VDon goes to work behind the boards crafting a brilliantly understated beat filled with subdued horns, giving Willie an instrumental launching pad for some seriously lyrical raps. And if that wasn’t enough, fellow Michiganer Jon Connor jumps on board (On board? Get it?) to unleash a captivating guest verse that demands repeat listens. Goddamn - if this any indication of Willie’s upcoming and currently unscheduled Aquamarine mixtape I’m ready to set sail as soon as he is.
