Petition Calls for Kendrick Lamar to Release a Full Version of "Alright (Dead Homies)" Pre-Chorus

We can only hope.

In less than six hours, Kendrick Lamar will release DAMN., his highly-anticipated fourth studio album. Incredibly, for one fan, a brand-spankin-new, 14-track LP isn't enough new music.

Earlier today (April 13), Erik Helander of Sweden posted a petition to, encouraging Kendrick to finally release the full version of the pre-chorus on "Alright" (entitled "Dead Homies").

Thanks to its 40-second runtime, the Sounwave-produced "Dead Homies" took on mythical proportions almost immediately after TDE released the Colin Tilley and The Little Homies-directed video on June 30, 2015.

Since then, Lamar has released untitled unmastered., a project made up of unfinished records that didn't make it onto his GRAMMY-winning opus To Pimp a Butterfly but were performed on a series of late night television appearances, which might be the reason why fans like Helander are holding out hope for the full version—if one even exists—to finally be released.

While it's probably unlikely the petition will do much to sway the decision-making at TDE, this is your chance to make it known you agree with Erik and sign the petition.
