OVO Teases Four New Non-Drake Album Releases as "Coming Soon"

Majid Jordan, DVSN, Roy Woods and PND all have brand new albums on the horizon.

Following the March release of his playlist project, More Life, Drake indicated that we might not hear from him again until 2018—and then he released "Signs." Just because there isn't any new Drizzy on the horizon, however, doesn't mean that fans of the rapper's OVO Sound label don't have anything to look forward to.

On Tuesday (August 1), four new non-Drake OVO album releases were teased on a billboard outside of CF Toronto Eaton Centre in Toronto with the phrase "coming soon" attached:

  • Majid Jordan — The Space Between
  • DVSN — Morning After
  • Roy Woods — Say Less
  • PARTYNEXTDOOR — Club Atlantis

What Do Booking Agents Do?

Live performance is so important that crafting such a strategy requires input from not just a manager, but also a booking agent.

5 New Albums You Need to Hear This Week

Press play on new releases from The Weeknd, Gunna, Bear1Boss, BIGBABYGUCCI, and Toohda Band$.

According to their Instagram, Majid Jordan, an R&B duo composed of Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman, plan to release The Space Between this fall. None of the other albums currently have a release date, quarter or season attached. Also currently lacking an official release date is "Gave Your Love Away," the excellent song the duo previewed during the Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring-Summer 2018 fashion show prior to "Signs."

While all four acts released full-length albums in 2016—Woods also released a seven-track EP entitled Nocturnal—only PARTYNEXTDOOR's PARTYNEXTDOOR 3 had a top 50 debut on the Billboard 200 chart, peaking at No. 3.

With Drake sitting shotgun in promo-only mode and with no solo album, EP, mixtape or playlist release on the horizon, hopefully, OVO's artist roster will finally earn the full support, time and attention of its head honcho. Maybe.

Majid Jordan Debut Album Flops

So far Drake's co-sign power has done more for strangers than for the people actually signed to his label.
