The Serato team has just released a few new software bundles called kits that will allow users to upgrade to the full Serato DJ software and experience many of the add-on features for drastically reduced prices. If you've been waiting to upgrade or add some of the new features to your setup, then now is a great time to take advantage of the savings.

There is the Serato DJ Suite which is the ultimate all-in-one package includes the full Serato DJ Software, Serato Video, all Serato FX Pacs, Serato DVS, Serato Flip, and Serato P'NT DJ for $299 which is a $185 savings if they were to all be purchased separately. Next is the Serato DJ Tool Kit that includes Serato DJ, Serato Flip, P'NT DJ, and the FX Packs for $199. Finally, there is the Serato Tool Kit for only $79 and includes Serato Flip, P'NT DJ, and the FX Packs which would be great for those who already have Serato DJ and only want a few of the extra features. The new Serato DJ 1.8 software is out now in Beta form for all current Serato DJ users to test out. The new Serato DJ 1.8 includes a few new features that users have been craving for a long time. These features include the ability to remap controllers, color-coded Key Detection, and Key Sync is available to those who have the Pitch N Time Serato upgrade. Serato DJ 1.7.4 has just been released and with it comes the compatibility with the new Serato DJ Club Kit that will allow users of certain Pioneer and Allen & Heath four channel Club mixers to work in digital vinyl setup mode with external decks and Serato DJ software control. Users of the Pioneer DJM-900NSX/DJM-850 or the Allen & Heath DB2/DB4 and newly announced Xone:43C can connect to the computer via USB and have full Serato DJ timecode control with the club kit.

Introducing the new replacement software for Serato Itch enabled DJ Controllers which will now be called Serato DJ. This new software is a huge breakthrough for the Serato team as this new Serato DJ software will allow DJ's who use Serato DJ Intro an upgrade path to a real full-featured software (finally!). Serato DJ will be fully MIDI mappable allowing DJ's to use a combination of different controllers to achieve the ultimate control. Just last week, Vestax announced that the new Serato DJ Software now works with their Typhoon Digital DJ Controller. Vestax Typhoon users can download a free trial for 14 days, or upgrade for $129. Serato DJ brings the new features of the full software such as Instant Doubles and iZotope FX to Typhoon users.

The Serato team has just released the new Serato DJ 1.3.0 DJ software that includes some welcomed upgrades to the effects and also allows all DJ controllers to use the "pioneer-inspired" Slip mode feature. The effects section receives the most attention in this upgrade which now has a new FX Expansion pack system that allows users to purchase and download additional FX packages that provide DJ's with a multitude of new effects to use in their sets.

The Pioneer DDJ-S1 was released back in 2011 and was designed to work with perfectly Serato Itch. We reviewed the controller and found it to be a great DJ control surface for Serato software DJ's. Now that Serato Itch software has been replaced by Serato DJ with a better layout and new features, the DDJ-S1 owners can now reap the benefits by downloading the new firmware and Free Serato DJ upgrade to get the full use out of their controller. The new Serato DJ 1.7.2 update has been released a few hours ago and with it comes some features that lots of users have been waiting for. The new update adds MAC OS X Yosimeti support, MIDI Output Lighting for a secondary controller, Sticker Lock for vinyl turntable users, Instant Start for motorized platter controllers and support for a new update for the new Serato Remote. The new Serato DJ software that comes bundled with the new Pioneer DDJ-SX will soon be released to all current Serato Itch Users and Serato DJ Intro Users within the next few months. This newly updated software will have quite a few differences from what those DJ's are normally used to, so the Serato team decided to get everyone familiar with Serato DJ by releasing a slew of new Tutorial videos so users can see exactly what's changed and how to use the features.
