Memorials, the lead single off Laurel‘s next EP, saw the rising singer/songwriter continuing to mourn the loss of the man whose absence had haunted her previous project. Now, it seems the shoe may be on the other foot. On the freshly-released follow-up, the Southampton singer/songwriter’s own languid electronic boardwork accompanies her as she addresses cryptic, teasing lines to a lover: “I’m that something that you can’t let go. / We’ll Come Together as we melt and mold.” Sivu guests, his breathy delivery serving as a counterpoint to the headliner’s ethereal vocal stylings.
