If Nas wants to make good on his recent promise to release his new album—you know, the album that DJ Khaled said was finished last year—before the end of 2017, he's going to have to finish the project soon, right?

According to an Instagram post by Nas' younger brother Jungle, the album is "almost finished."

In addition to wrapping up and preparing the delivery of the 10th solo album of his esteemed career and his first since 2012's Life is Good, the veteran emcee, who recently stopped by Harvard to break down the lyrics to Illmatic classic "It Ain't Hard to Tell" with poetry professor Elisa New, has also been working on Lost Tapes 2 since mid-2016, which he has said could eventually turn into a series.

I hate when fans pressure artists on social media to release new music—the creative process is sacred and should never be rushed—but I think I speak for every Nas fan under the sun when I say: fewer updates, more music, please.
