Buckshot x 9th Wonder ft. Rapsody - Shorty Left

9th Wonder

Having spent the first two song releases off his and 9th Wonder‘s next collaborative set, Stop Rapping and What I Gotta Say, respectively trashing sucker emcees and touting his own credentials, Buckshot switches gear to cover more personal ground on the new Shorty Left. Here, the Carolina beatsmith’s doleful, soul-sampled production bangs in the back as Buck spits about his deteriorating relationship with a woman who’s never satisfied. 9th’s Jamla signee, Rapsody, plays the shorty in question, urging the Brooklyn rhymesayer to choose between her and the music and ending her verse with the ominous promise, “If I ain’t happy, then you won’t never be happy neither.Kenneth Price directs the record’s official visuals. For Shorty Left, the aforementioned jams and much more, pick up a copy of The Solution when it hits record stores and online retailers November 13, via Duck Down—or click here to pre-order the set in advance of its release.
