Buckshot x 9th Wonder - What I Gotta Say

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
9th Wonder
Album:

On the lead single off his next collaborative full-length with heavyweight beatsmith 9th Wonder, Buckshot offered his unfiltered opinion on the wackness pervading contemporary hip-hop, encouraging sucker emcees to Stop Rapping and make some room for artists with real talent. Seeing the extent to which heads in the Booth and beyond were feeling both the music and the message, he’s returned to share more of his reflections on follow-up What I Gotta Say. This time around, Buck shifts focus from other rappers’ failings to spit about what makes him one of the hardest currently doing it. 9th’s head-noddable sampling of The Foundations’ New Direction sets the mood as the B.K. lyricist describes how his past in the streets has prepared him to ruthlessly conquer the rap game. Feeling it? You’ll be able to find plenty more where this came from on The Solution, coming November 13, via Duck Down/Jamla. Click here to pre-order the project!
