Lately, the name “Chris Webby” has been showing up everywhere—the DJBooth home page, the front of big checks, dudes’ girlfriends’ racks… the list goes on. To celebrate his increasing ubiquity in the hip-hop blogosphere and beyond, the rhymesayer’s unleashed Look at My Name, a new EP single featuring guest rhymes from another rising rap star. After the headliner’s braggadocious first and second verses, G.O.O.D. Music‘s CyHi The Prynce grabs the mic to do a little gloating of his own: “You know your sh*t fresh when Kanye West sign you.Nedonomix backs their bars with a catchy mix of reggae guitar and 8-bit synths, grabbing the titular sample from M.I.A.‘s Paper Planes. Feeling it? Then stay tuned; Webby’s Homegrown EP has yet to receive a drop date, but we’ll keep you supplied with further singles and release details as they emerge.
