DJ Muggs ft. Danny Brown - Headfirst

DJ Muggs

With his much-buzzed-about hip-hop/dubstep fusion project just a week away from release, DJ Muggs is stoking the flames of anticipation with another fresh single release. The follow-up to last November’s Wikid, which received lukewarm reader reviews despite an appearance by hip-hop legend Chuck D, Headfirst is even more aurally aggressive than its predecessor, featuring a beat so packed with rumbling synth-bass, chopped-up vocals samples and frenetically-syncopated percussion that it threatens to overwhelm the larger-than-life Danny Brown. Feeling it? You can expect plenty more genre-bending beats and eclectic guest features on Muggs’ Bass for Your Face LP, set to hit record stores and online retailers Tuesday, January 15, via Ultra Music.
