Jon Bellion - Munny Right

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Jon Bellion
Album:

On Can’t Tell Me Nothing, a 2007 single off his Graduation LP, Kanye West expressed his confidence that the big money headed his way would shut the haters’ mouths for good. It didn’t quite turn out that way for Yeezy, but this isn’t about him; it’s about NYC singer-songwriter Jon Bellion, who uses that cut’s chorus as a springboard for reflections on his own growing cachet and cashflow. Bellion’s own lush, keyboard-driven boardwork accompanies the 22-year-old artist as he gloats over the half-mil in his bank account and touts his aptitude for his craft. (On the front, he brags about “making artists feel self-conscious from the honesty and soul” in his music.) This promo single isn’t attached to a larger project, but fans can hear more on Bellion’s last digial full-length, The Separation, available for streaming and download in the Booth.
