Locksmith x Jarell Perry - Broken

Featuring:

Jarell Perry
Album:

Thus far in 2013, Locksmith has one hell of a winning streak going. Livin’ Loaded, Transitions, Be Free and F**k Love have each won him more acclaim than the last. Today, the Cali native endeavors to top himself yet again with new single Broken. Over a reworking of the stark, piano-led, instrumental from Rihanna‘s Stay, the rhymesayer offers some poignant insights into his struggles with his ethnic identity (“I was called white boy, Arab and n**ger.”), and reaffirms his determination to succeed in the hip-hop game. Co-headlining the record, Getaway singer Jarell Perry lends his heartfelt vocals to verse two. The Green Box as yet lacks a drop date, but Locksmith assures us it’s coming soon. In the meantime, of course, you can keep your browsers locked for the latest tunes and release details.
