For those not keeping score, thus far this year we’ve featured a whopping four records whose titles were some variation of “La La La”... wait, make that five. Today, 2013 XXL Freshman Logic joins the ranks of Ari Lennox, Naughty Boy, Nikki Grier and MGK with new promo single LaLaLa. Here, Talen Ted‘s mournful guitar chords back the Maryland rhymesayer as he delves into the themes of love and loss, describing a long-distance relationship which ended on an unexpectedly tragic note. Singer Kendal lends her melancholy vocals to the record’s chorus. This unreleased cut will not be placed on Logic’s next street album, Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever. Keep it locked for the latest on the highly-anticipated set, which is scheduled for digital release May 7.
