Pitbull ft. Pharrell - Blanco
Strong hip-hop soundtracks have been a hallmark of the entire Fast and the Furious franchise; the 2001 original featured several hits by Ja Rule and the Murder, Inc. camp, its ‘03 sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious, spawned Ludacris’ hit Act A Fool (and drew attention to DTP signees I-20, Playaz Circle, and Chingy), and the third film, Tokyo Drift, co-starred Bow Wow and introduced the world to the Teriyaki Boyz. On April 3, the fourth movie in the series, Fast & Furious, will hit theaters. In addition to appearances by Tego Calderon, T-Pain, and Lil Wayne, the film will feature another hip-hop-heavy soundtrack. Joining such up-and-coming MCs as Acafool and Temperamento is club heavyweight Pitbull (introduced to many by 2 Fast‘s Oye). On the newly-released Blanco, both Mr. 305 (in club shout-out mode) and Pharrell Williams (in falsetto mode) bring their bilingual vocals to the forefront over a Neptunes beat straight de las islas. Fans of banging beats and fast cars can grab a copy of the Fast & Furious soundtrack March 31st.
