ProbCause - Chicago Style

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
Fortified Sounds, Drew Manita
Album:
WAVES

Known for its tall crust, chunky sauce and generous toppings, Chicago Style deep-dish pizza has never been my cup of tea. (I’m all about the thin, crispy Neapolitan version.) Chicago style hip-hop, on the other hand—that’s something I can get behind. On this freshly-baked single, his first feature since O’Mys collab One of a Kind, ProbCause blends his city’s distinctive flavor with the classic sounds he enjoyed while growing up. Over Fortified Sounds‘s boom bap-meets-trap-meets-house production, the artist spits verses liberally seasoned with local references. Keep your ears open for quotes from two Chi-Town classics, Twista‘s Adrenaline Rush and D.A. Smart‘s Walk With Me. Chicago Style is the lead street single off upcoming album WAVES, which has yet to receive a drop date. Prob recently kicked off a national tour with electro-pop group Cherub.
