Who Is Que? EP

Stephen Milburn Anderson’s critically-acclaimed 1999 drama, South Central, follows a young Los Angeles native named Bobby Johnson as he rises in the ranks of a local gang to become an OG, and later struggles to extricate himself from the street life after 10 years behind bars. When Atlantic Records signee Que declares his affinity with the flick’s protagonist on his debut feature, he’s clearly talking about the pre-prison version, as his verses depict him pulling triggers and slanging dope with reckless abandon. This officially remixed version of the 2013 single sees Que joined by a few fellow OGs. Snoop Dogg, Pusha T and ASAP Ferg each deliver a gritty guest 16 over Bobby Johnson Beats’ eerie synth arpeggios and trap production. Has this street banger left you hungry for more from the ATLien spitter? Then stay tuned for more fresh singles leading up to the March release of Que’s major-label debut, the Who Is Que? EP.
