Rapsody - Thank You Very Much

Producer:
Khrysis
Album:

When, not if, Rapsody accepts her first major award, we hope that they give her at least two minutes and thirty seconds. That should give her just enough time to perform her new video single, Thank You Very Much. Just in case she’s not able to make it to her acceptance speech, probably because of a world tour, I’m prepared to speak in her place: “Rapsody would like to thank her parents, the doubters, bandwagon fans, delusional rappers, real fans, Kenny (you know why), TDE, the Most Dope family, and of course, 9th Wonder.” She would then send a personal, Thank You card to those mentioned in the asterisk at the end of the video. (Yup, that’s our own DJ Z and Nathan S. in there!) While the record opens with a modified take on Aloe Blacc’s The Man, Khrysis provides a minimal beat for the remainder of the record as to not take away from Rapsody’s message of gratitude. Thank You Very Much comes off of her She Got Game tape, which is available for purchase in NO DJ deluxe form at The DJBooth. And read how Rapsody is doing so much more than rocking the mic in RefinedHype’s “Black Girls Rock: The State of Women In Hip-Hop With Rapsody.”
