If all has gone according to Rick Ross’ master plan we would have been listening to his new Mastermind album by now. But a true Bawse knows how to adjust, so even though Mastermind‘s been pushed back to 2014, Rozay made sure to deliver a stocking stuffer in the form of The Devil is a Lie, featuring Jay Z. The last time these two got together they produced the excellent 3 Kings, and The Devil is a Lie follows suit closely. Fueled by an excellent beat from K.E. on the Track, Devil find Ross engaging in his usual blend of luxury rap and Wing Stop love, while Hova kicks in with a sure to be talked about verse that addresses the Barneys controversy. We’re still waiting on an official new release date for Mastermind, but if it sounds anything like Devil, we’re in for a hell of a 2014.
