Tanya Morgan - Pick It Up

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
6th Sense
Album:
Rubber Souls LP

Having reaffirmed their commitment to realness on the reader-acclaimed lead single off their junior set, B.K. crew Tanya Morgan turn up the energy on freshly-minted follow-up Pick It Up. Though this cut isn’t exactly club fare, producer 6th Sense‘s flailing percussion makes it a tough record to listen to while sitting still. Appropriately, the hook provides a minimal set of suggested dance moves: “Pick it up… put it down now.” On the lyrical tip, Donwill and Von Pea excel as always, delivering verses every bit as live as the raucous beat. Like what you’re hearing? Then stay tuned for more fresh singles leading up to the September 24, release of Rubber Souls via Imprint One80.
