The Purist x Tree - Never Heard of That

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
The Purist [for Brixton Briefcase]
Album:
TR-ILL (Deluxe Edition) [Limited Ed. 12"]

Introduced to the Booth via March’s Danny Brown-assisted Jealousy, UK beatsmith The Purist makes his return to our pages with Never Heard of That, a cut off the deluxe edition of his latest EP. In contrast to the first-mentioned cut’s edgy instrumental, this joint’s backdrop is hazy and thoroughly blunted. That makes it the ideal canvas for Chi-Town buzzmaker Tree, whose gruff delivery and syrupy-slow flows fit right in amid the headliner’s ebbing and flowing synths. For Never Heard and more previously unreleased jams, cop the 12” vinyl version of TR-ill, available now via the artist’s Bandcamp page.
