Kevin Rudolf ft. Fred Durst, Lil Wayne & Birdman - Champions

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Kevin Rudolf
Album:
Untitled (TBD)

On I Made It, the hit lead single off his second studio album, Kevin Rudolf called on a couple of his YMCMB colleagues to join him as he exulted in his success he’d achieved in the game. Has that rosy glow faded, now that full-length numéro trois is on the horizon? F**k no. Rudolf and his homies are still feeling like Champions, as they trumpet from the rooftops on the set’s latest single. Already picked up as the theme song for WWE’s 2012 Night of Champions, this anthemic jam finds the artist serving up one of his trademark, heavily-processed pop/rock instrumentals as he delivers an entertainingly melodramatic chronicle of his rise to fame. In addition to triumphant guest bars by Weezy and Birdman, the cut features an opening 16 from Limp Bizkit frontman and new labelmate Fred Durst. (Who notably outweirds Wayne with his inexplicable opening lines: “Always had big hopes as a kid / Just a rotten tomato, buildin’ sh*t out of legos.”) So, did Rudolf and company knock this one out of the park? If you’re leaning toward the affirmative, keep it locked for the latest on his next album, which has yet to receive a title or drop date.
