Run The Jewels (El-P & Killer Mike) ft. Big Boi - Banana Clipper

Album:

Maybe its Netflix’s fault for bringing Arrested Development back, but when I saw the title of the latest cut from Run The Jewels, Banana Clipper, I thought it might be named after a tool at the Bluth Banana Stand…alas, I was wrong. A more accurate assessment of the song’s title, courtesy of El-P, Killer Mike and their guest, the legendary Big Boi, can be drawn from the lyrical bullets that come flying at your ears at the speed of a banana clip. In order to match the relentless onslaught of bars, El-P brews up a frenzied almost electronic beat that is perfect for the rapid-fire, brash flows from the three hardened veterans. If you enjoyed Banana Clipper there is plenty more on the way; Run The Jewels are heading out on a nationwide tour to accompany the release of a forthcoming, currently untitled album via Fools Gold.
